Hello!
Let me tell you a bit about myself.
My name is Sydney Barclay and I graduated from Kansas State University with a degree in Apparel and Textile Merchandising and a minor in Leadership Studies. I first became interested in the fashion industry when I realized how confident I became as I discovered my own style. This inspired me to help others find their own personal style as well.

I've been a stylist at a boutique for over six years now. In those years, I started out as a stylist but was first promoted to be a lead stylist and trainer for my coworkers. I was promoted again to manager where I was able to learn even more about the clothing retail industry. Because of this, I have gained experience in personal selling, trend forecasting, wholesale purchasing, store merchandising, and social media branding. I have been given the opportunity to build relationships with the boutique's customers and workers, as well as creating social media content and merchandising the store's fixtures regularly. I was additionally given the opportunity to visit Dallas Market and pick out what to sell in the boutique for the following seasons.

I additionally have extra social media experience thanks to my experience creating content for the Kansas State Fashion Studies Instagram account. I learned a lot collaborating with my professors and classmates on content to share to the page. My experience as Kinsey Design's social media intern additionally helped me learn a lot about effectively utilizing social media as a marketing tool, as well as receiving a Hubspot Social Media Certificate.
